We are so excited to have Nadia join the team at Abolishion. She will be heading up our Traffick Safe School Program. Welcome Nadia! We took a few moments to ask Nadia a few questions about why she wants to fight human trafficking.

How did you come to hear about human trafficking?

I was aware of the human trafficking phenomena ever since I was a student, but didn’t realize it was so serious until I heard real life stories about young girls being sold into prostitution.

What was your reaction when you heard?

I was shocked of the cruelty and the lack of consciousness these traffickers showed.  As a mom of two daughters, I was both angry and worried at the same time, thus the responsibility to fight it was mine too.

What is your role in Abolishion?

As a project manager, my role is to develop and implement the prevention program in schools, which comes close to my heart as my daughters are both students.

Why did you choose to work for Abolishion?

I see Abolishion as the perfect ground to grow, both in knowledge of this field and in taking practical steps towards protecting kids from being trafficked.

What do you think is the best thing someone can do to fight trafficking?

The first and best thing would be to stop being ignorant towards the problem.  

What do you think a world without trafficking would look like?

It would look like a world that is aware of the sacred value of life.
